Jan Jannes has graduated Cum Laude / With Honours at the School for the Arts at Utrecht the Netherlands in 1994 as a Fine Artist. His paintings and drawings can be found all around the world in private collections and sometimes even in museums.

He currently works on a new serie of large paintings in his studio in Utrecht. And again the subjects of these paintings reflect his fascination for human beings and their hopeful desires for love, a friend, and even sometimes a better world.

He paints them in his typical vibrant colours at the places where the are at their best ; in the buzzing cities, their wild parties, in the solitude silence of the kitchen, the garden, the park, the woods or at the beaches of his beloved northern Dutch islands.

The stage of life and nature, telling the story of our dreams, big dreams. Common people like you and me lering for better moments, unhindered, freely and magnificent depicted just as we really are.
